Fashion, a book & a crisis {averted!}

Fashion? yes.  notice in the blog description it says 'and pretty things'?  well this dress is just yummy.   I want it.  I would clean in it, garden in it and perhaps make pasta in it.   I want to just make it swoosh all day long.  Congrats to Lea Michele of Glee for looking so hot at the Emmy's Sunday night.  And a SUPER congrats to Mad Men for Outstanding Drama Series.  This is one of the best shows out there.  I find, however, it leaves me wanting a smoke and a stiff drink.

Now for those needing a good read, I highly recommend The Hunger Games series.  It is teen lit, but I would say older teen.  This is the third, and last?, book in the series and it is living up to its name.  I am not finished yet, but wanted to get the word out there since there are two books to read before this one and it will take you awhile to get caught up to me.

Lastly, last night we had a mini crisis.  WE LOST THE PACI.

This green little piece of plastic, complete with wounds from a certain Sammyboy who constantly tries to make it his own, is like gold. It should be under glass with a spotlight on it when not in use. I have a feeling it is going to be his binky of sorts. Its been with him since his hospital days.  We have tried other pacifiers but he doesn't like them.  It has to be his beloved green paci.  And last night at two in the morning, we lost it. Which leads to a lot of this...

In fear of a very restless next couple of hours, the hubbs gets the flashlight and goes on a midnight crawl in search of said paci.   It was finally found under the bed (i don't know) thank the Lord!  Max was happy and pacified.  Parents got some sleep.

In the end, however, it just leads to this...

... which leaves us feeling like the hunt was all for not.  oh well.

Tummy Time {is hard work}

I probably should have started this before Max was born, but I didn't. So here we are.  A semi-newlywed couple with their first born and two ridiculous fur babies, far far away from all family and friends.  I welcome you all to come here to keep up with our ever changing lives.

For the first blog we will take a peek into today's tummy time session.

It's not easy.  He works hard, fights and struggles.

But our Little Mr. holds his head high. Complaining through it all... but he is his mother's son and doesn't quit.  I love this kid. He is inspiring. I admit that it is hard to watch him struggle. I want to snatch him up and hold him until the tears stop. But stronger we must get so down he stays. For at least five of the twenty recommended minutes.  What? I'm a new mom, over protecting is almost required.

  Good night!
