This kid cracks me up. I can't even get mad that we now have to buy new blinds. I mean seriously. HE MADE A LITTLE WINDOW FOR HIMSELF!! That is funny.

Max Is No Dummy.
The boys room has a front yard facing window. In order to get both cribs in the room, Max's crib is partially up against this window. Max is easily distracted by what goes on outside said window, making naps and bedtime tricky. We thought we had it covered by just closing the blinds. Max says nice try, parents. Nice try.
We are going to ignore the fact that today I found him butt naked.
I hope everyone finds humor in their children and try not to take life so seriously. They are a blessing and nothing short of amazing. Enjoy every minute of them.

I am Thiiiiis Biiiiig.
My Little Mr. is growing. We won't discuss weight because he says it's no ones business (actually I don't know it, not a believer of scales in the house.), but he is proud of his height! Mama already hears those schools calling for football scholarships. UT or LSU better save number 11 and number 17 for my boys sometime around the years 2029-30.
And for all my decor lovers, the growth chart? Fab, I know. I will show more pics of that when I finish their room.

A Baby Sleeps.
A baby sleeps. And I watch him. In wonder, in awe and with a heart full of love.
A baby sleeps. And I give thanks. For his life, for his accomplishments, for his room lighting smile.
A baby sleeps. And I pray. For his future, for his happiness, for his health.
MY baby sleeps. And he is beautiful.

Beach Trip.
Yesterday we took a day off of household duties, work and everyday life and hung out as a family. With the hubbs working nights every other week, we find ourselves needing some quality togetherness and decided a trip to the beach was in order. So we got up early and packed all our belongings and headed out.
PS. As Max gets older I find that we are turning into THAT family. The family that has a huge pile of food under their seats at restaurants and now the family that has the wagon full of just about everything they own when they go to the beach. Including the pack-n-play. I used to make fun of THOSE families. Now we have become THEM! AHHHHHH!!
We wore sunscreen. And our hat. And our surf shirt. I was paranoid about The Mr.'s baby skin getting burnt. Paranoid.
We ate alot of sand.
We played with all things not a toy.
We got sand between our toes.
We have cute beach bags.
Our noses are sun kissed.
We splashed in the waves. And wore matching suits. Mine is blue too!
It was a beautiful day. The weather was hot the water was cold. We ate sandy lunches. We got sleepy and packed it all back up. On the way home we stopped at the fish market and picked up some fresh mahi and scallops and then feasted like kings. It was a good day. A very good day.

Max Wanted to Share. {he told me}
Max brought it to my attention today that he has some new achievements to show everyone and that I have been slacking on the updates. He says enough with the decorating posts and pretty things posts (he rolled his eyes when he said that one) and get to the good stuff. MAX!
First, he wanted me to tell you that his 1st Annual Opening Day Pennant Party was supposed to be tonight but it is raining and will now be his 1st Annual Opening Weekend Pennant Party, which is fine with us because the Astros' Opening Day is not until tomorrow anyways and they are our favorite team. Stay tuned for pictures of his first big event.
Second, he has a TOOFER!!!
Third. He is a nose scruncher. I have no idea where this came from but it is quite adorable and he knows it.
(He looks way to innocent here doesn't he?)
(There. Much better.)

(nose scrunching and a toofer?! I can't even stand it.)
Next he has discovered something down there.
There are some things a mother needs not know, so I left it alone.
Moving on.
He sits up on his own!! And is clearly proud of it.
("Hey! Still paying attention?! Good. Almost done.")
And lastly, we are THIS CLOSE to crawling.
Not quite there, he hasn't figured out how to move his arm to get his body going forward. Soon though. Very soon.
That is all. Just some accomplishments that this little one wanted to pass along. He leaves you with a cute picture to remember him by. Until next time.
Tootles.

Max Smiles {on purpose}
REAL SMILES! not because he has gas {this child is always popping popcorn} or because he is 'working on something'. He is smiling just because he is happy!!
He is also trying to talk. I never thought about learning to make a noise being so physically hard, but he has to put his whole body into it. He twists and turns and curls his tongue and then... 'YYYAAAKK' He is also learning he doesn't have to cry to make noise. Sometimes when he wants to talk he will start to cry and end it in a squeek. Practice makes perfect though and we will be singing songs in no time.
May we all have smiles as big as Mr. Max's today.
